Browse the full cafe and servery menu, filter by allergen or dietary need, pay securely by card and watch your order come to you. Perfect for families, birthday parties and groups. Open during Playmania’s regular play sessions. Find us in the old railway works at Elsecar Heritage Centre, Wath Road, Elsecar, S74 8HJ.
What the app does
Playmania Express lets you order food and drinks from your own phone instead of queueing at the till. Scan the plaque on your table, browse the full cafe and servery menu, and add what you fancy to the basket.
Every dish shows its dietary tags, allergens and nutrition at a glance, so you can choose with confidence before you order. Payment is taken securely by card, and the moment it clears your order appears on our kitchen and bar screens, so the team start making it straight away. You can follow its progress as it is prepared and brought to your table, and anything you type in the special requests box is highlighted for the staff looking after your order.
Who it is for
It is for everyone who visits Playmania: families taking a break while the children play, groups in for a party or a celebration, and regulars who simply want a coffee and a slice of cake.
The menu can be read in English, Polish, Romanian and Spanish, so everyone at the table can order in their own language. Our team uses the same system on the kitchen board, at the print stations and in the back office, which keeps orders, menus, stock and takings in step.
Who builds it
Playmania Express is designed, built and maintained by the team at Playmania Ltd. at Elsecar Heritage Centre. We write the menus, set the prices and take the photographs ourselves, and we keep improving the app based on what guests and staff tell us.
